Neighboring the populous City of Zarqa, King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz City (Previously Known as Madinat Al Sharq) is set twenty-five kilometers to the North-East of Amman.
King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz City (Previously Known as Madinat Al Sharq), which is Arabic for Orient City, is a city created with utmost sophistication and high standards, taking up an area of 2.4 million square meters and expected to house an estimate of half a million residents.

The Land Jordan is the primary developer in King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz City (Previously Known as Madinat Al Sharq), planning on developing a total of 1250 residential and commercial units spread over 196,000 square meters of land, with an estimated cost of over 70 million USD.
